Felted Accessories

No need to spend hours looking for accessories and gifts. Tap your creativity and make your own matching accessories and jewelry in this fun workshop. Use hand felting to make belts, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, even buttons and much more!

Nuno Felting

"Nuno" (Japanese for "fabric") felting, also known as laminated felting, is a process of melding loose fiber, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze -- brings a contemporary style & look to an ancient method.

Sashiko Stitching

Sashiko is a form of decorative stitching from Jajpan. It can be used to add exquisite interest to otherwise ordinary garments or accessories.

Fiber Collage

Fiber collage is the art of layering and sewing together small pieces of silks, exotic yarns & threads into a one-of-akind fabric. Use left over fiber & yarn to make an amazing, mosaic looking scarf!

Japanese Shibori for Wearable Art

Shibori is a process of transforming fabric from a two dimensional into a three dimensional form by folding and pleating. Workshop will explore the unique resist dyeing method of arashi shibori (pole wrapping), itajime shibori (fold & clamp) and kanoko shibori (stitch resist) fabric manipulation. The fabric is then dyed and over-dyed resulting in an array of the most fascinating combination of color and texture.
